Parenting ~ doesn't get easier does it?

I had an IAT meeting for Nik today. He is taking responsibility for his actions much better now... the competitiveness is still going strong ... now we need him to SLOW DOWN !!! He rushes with is work and rushes with reading and makes silly mistakes that if he paid attention he would not. So I have a few things in mind to slow him down and get him to focus a bit more I hope.

I guess Gracie just spoiled me I told her she needs to focus and do well and she does. How easy is that? Then I have Nik... LOL I guess a challenge is always good

No School !

With this winter storm moving through we just cancelled today ~ yay !! I know we have days to make up but I'd much rather drive them to school in the heat in June than some of these dangerous snowy/icey roads !!! Now I'm going to go lay down I get another day to rest from my lumbar block on Wed.

Well it has been awhile ....

Last year was not a good year for the most part. My Dad was sick and in and out of the hospital and much to my dismay died at the beginning of December. To say I am ok is not even close. I still cannot believe it and miss him so very much. Everyone says in time it gets better but I just am not seeing it right now..
I have been feeling a real need to start scrapping again ~ it's more important to me now than ever to save these memories for my kids for the future.
Yet another storm going through here... up to 10" of snow in the next 12 hours?? Really we haven't had enough already???? GRRRRR
Just waiting to see if I need to go fire up the bus. Or if I get to lay back down and sleep???

Introducing my goats...

Really my goats are my pets... I started with Zach and Daniel and then added Scarlett and Scooter later... and they are so much fun :)

Gracie starts volleyball games this week .. 2 each week til Thanksgiving.She was moved up to the 6th grade team ... quite an accomplishment. Nik has Tiger Scouts this week and I'll be doing a trip with the band to the last football game on Friday I sure hope it doesn't get too cold by then !!

It HAS to warm up...

Last week was soooooo cold and I'm so not a cold weather person :) Oh well it is supposed to get up into the 60's at least a couple days this week that is better than the 40's !!!

While I've been holed up inside the house keeping warm I have been doing layouts... these two are from LP and 3 Dogs Designs at DSO ~ Dream Project

Wow... I actually did a few minor changes to my blog...

Ok nothing fancy but it's HUGE for me !!! I hope it looks a little more dressed up than it did ...midterms were yesterday... Gracie has all A's and Nik has all A's but needs improvement in his handwriting.. however it took me 15 minutes to read that from the teacher b/c her handwriting is HORRIBLE. So I'm thinking "pot ... kettle... black ??!!??" I mean at least he's 7 what's her excuse??

Ok on to a lighter topic.. finally was able to scrap.. I've been dragging... and running like crazy to the kids activities... and fighting off not feeling the best .. blah ... but this kit Changes created by Loucee Creations as DSO is just full of beautiful rich fall colors... you'll love it.

Really? I don't know how I make it through the week...

My energy is still non existent... It's so aggravating I have so much I need and want to get done but by the time I get home I'm so tired I get supper done and and dishes done.. kids and homework and showers... then I'm ready to pass out for the night..... patience I know patience.

It's been cold and rainy .. my bus broke down so I'm in a spare bus that is just aggravating me to no end... I hope they don't take forever to fix my bus. GRRR. This isn't going to be a good week I can tell. :(

My first week back to work is done.. I did really good up til Thursday.. then I was exhausted.. but I got two trips in there also ... so all in all it was a good week !

5 More Days til School starts... and some new layouts !

We are 5 short days away from school starting ... I'm excited and bummed at the same time... the summer went by really fast !! But it will be nice to get into the swing of things again.

College football opens their season tomorrow ~ I'm so psyched for it ... can't wait I miss my football !!!!!

Other than trying to get things arranged and in order for school starting not much has been going on I've finally been able to drive my car after 2 weeks of not being able too.. feels like I'm 16 again getting my freedom :) My daughter started her travel softball practice last night ... so we'll have weekly practices with that.... and cheerleading is going down to one practice a week so that will help my life not be so crazy !!!

Just over a week til school starts !

Wow summer went so fast .... we had 1st grade orientation for Nik tonight... and he just turned 7 years old this past Saturday ~ time just goes by to fast in general !!

My daughter made a travelling softball team ~ practice starts this Thursday and they are going to play a fall league ~ 5 week on Sunday's so she'll play 2 games of softball and then go directly to the football games to cheer... I bet she'll sleep really well on Sunday nights !!!!!

I am slowly getting ready bus route wise for the start of the school year.... I am doing a new route this year and although I will miss my kids from the old route I'm really excited to learn the new route and get to know these kids.... it's going to be a good year :)

Well it's that time to think about nighty night time....

Finally starting to feel a bit more like me !

It was a week ago today that I had my sugery. Wow last week was HARD while I was in the hospital I got very upset at the nurses.. they wouldn't give me the pain meds that were promised to me to help me "over the hump" they kept giving me a hard time... I guess at one point and time I told the one nurse to "just forget it and get out of my room" ..... I have never been a victim of such lack of concern in a hospital ..... now that I'm feeling better I am going to write a letter and address it to the DON, Hospital Admin and my doctor so they know exactly what is happening and how patients are being treated.

As of tomorrow we have 2 weeks til school starts... getting my bus paperwork around and organized.... such fun :) I won't be driving the first 3 days but I will be able to be on the bus which will be good .. give me a chance to get to know the knew route... see what kids work sitting together and which one's don't !!!!


Last night my daughter went to get her medicine out of the cupboard and the whole thing fell OFF OF THE WALL AT HER !!!!!!! OMG I was so scared... she's a bit stiff from throwing herself backwards and has a few scrapes on her leg from the glass from all of my plates etc hitting her.. but thank God she wasn't hurt more. And the poor little thing thought I would get mad b/c all of my plates broke.... she thought it was her fault ... my poor sweet baby girl.. I told her it wasn't her fault and plates could be replaced.. SHE COULDN'T

See my life is crazy !!!

Over half way through August and I can't believe it. I went to see my doctor not even two weeks ago and he agreed to do the hysterectomy ... scheduled it for the 25th of this month. I would miss the first 3 days of school.. I could be on the bus but not drive.... well they called last Wed and asked if I could do it tomorrow... of course I said yes (just want to get it done and over with) and have a bit more recovery time before going back to work..... so I thought I had 2 weeks to get everything done and boom actually less than a week. So tomorrow I go in and will be in the hospital hopefully only overnight.

Thursday ... busy busy

I have peas to freeze today. But first I'm back to the doctor... still in pain and last week I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic he gave me. I've been working on scrapping during my down times.... (which seems like too much lately)

Gracie has only 6 more practices until her first game to cheer at. Their uniforms are due in around the 17th ... still got to get Nik signed up for soccer... then they will both have something to keep them occupied this fall.

I just completed a layout using Lyndsay Riches Flowery Earthy Goodness Collab I couldn't BELIEVE just how much Gracie has changed in the past few years... her hair is short now...she's gotten so much thinner... I can't believe she's growing up on me.

Off to get ready for my doctor's appointment !!

Under the Weather...

I have to go back into the doctor Monday. I'm still in quite a bit of pain ... :( I'm not happy right now ! My Mom came out tonight and we burnt the brush pile... it was a nice calm night and was nice sitting out by the fire. I heard a coyote...I knew they were around but never actually heard one... I told my Mom I'd probably heard them and thought it was my dogs and yelled out for it to be quiet LOL

I did get some scrapping done today here are a couple of layouts : I used My Little Sunshine by Calalily Designs at Digital Paper Hearts

Happy Hump Day...

Waiting on Fed Ex ... bringing some clothes I ordered for the kids for school... getting closer to being ready for them to go back... now I just need the next month and a half to pass by to actually get them into school LOL

It's finally raining today we need it so bad... and the kids are playing Life (and arguing about every spin of the wheel) I am going to scrap I think gotta get my mind settled... so much is going on and I'm just not in the right frame of mind to deal with any of it !

Monday is OVER finally

Today was such a bad day and I don't want to go into it ... but I'm glad it's over.... Gracie had cheerleading practice tonight... they learned some neat new cheers that are a bit challenging ... one more practice this week.

I so need to get my energy back so I can get this house straightened up .... being down and out and the kids getting to run wild isn't a good thing :(

Feeling a little better....

Feeling a little bit better today... went for a walk outside... checked on my goats. Walked through the garden.... said hi to the outside dogs. The kids, well Nik, is being a stink pot today not wanting to listen to anything told to him... so not in the mood for all of that.
